The founders of Data Academy, Damola Akinleye and Obidi Emekpo, have worked together for many years across a diverse range of industries, including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, utilities, education, and local government. Together, they have successfully delivered over 100+ data platforms and projects, building large-scale big data platforms designed for high performance and reliability.

MEET THE TEAM BEHIND KUBRICK

Their expertise includes:

Designing and developing high-performance, auto-healing pipelines that ingest 3-5TB of data daily using Azure Functions, Databricks, and Data Factory, implementing various ingestion patterns to ensure scalability.
Integrating data observability frameworks like Open Telemetry and Delta Live Tables for comprehensive pipeline monitoring.
Maintaining uptime for 120+ high-frequency feeds, managing over 1PB of data with a strong focus on reliability and security.
Developing various data products using the data mesh architecture to provide critical data to threat hunters, analysts, and aligned teams.
Building a Lakehouse architecture on ingested data, ensuring incremental refinement before exposing it to end consumers.
Delivering a robust, high-performance Data Platform (DAP) with all the required PaaS services (ADF, ADLS, Databricks, Functions, Key Vault, etc.), all configured appropriately via a code-first approach within a highly secured Virtual Private Network, following Cloud Adoption Framework best practices.

Implementing successful DNS routing to allow seamless access to deployed Azure services.
Designing a robust Security Framework (Role-Based Access Control) with a zero-trust model, successfully approved by security teams.
Implementing a User Onboarding framework and wrapping a functional operating model around it to onboard users based on their Role, Product, or Service on the platform.
Building and managing high-performing teams of data engineers, DevOps engineers, reporting analysts, and product analysts to successfully deliver data products utilizing the Data Mesh model.
Maintaining uptime for 40+ high-frequency feeds, managing over 1PB of data efficiently.
Developing various data products using the data mesh architecture (within the Medallion Framework) to provide actionable data for Business Intelligence and Machine Learning applications.
